Downham Grange, in Downham Market, is run by Kingsley Healthcare and had 56 residents when it was recently visited by the Care Quality Commission (CQC). Inspectors found a number of issues at the home and said "health and hygiene were not prioritised".

A paddling pool closed after traces of Legionella bacteria were found is has reopened. Peterborough's Central Park pool was shut for nearly two weeks after traces of the bacteria were found during routine inspections. Peterborough City Council said it was not initially known which strain of Legionella was present in the water. However, it was not made aware of anyone becoming ill as a result of visiting the paddling pool.

Essex County Council wants to highlight the region's celebrities and shows like The Essex Serpent to boost the area's arts and culture. It has developed a cultural strategy over two years, following the creation of a £1.5m Arts and Cultural Fund. The strategy includes the "importance of pop culture" and references artists, cooks, comedians and influencers. The council said it was aiming to create the conditions for the growth and success of its creative sectors.

The campus would provide 1.6 million square feet (148,645 sq m) of space for labs, offices and manufacturing facilities in Stevenage. Developers UBS Asset Management and Reef Group said the project, named the Elevate Quarter, will be "one of Europe’s largest life science campuses", and claimed it could create up to 5,000 new jobs.
