The return of trails season to area BLM lands came a few weeks early this year. Thousands of Denverites flooded into Civic Center Park — and just about every nook and cranny around it — for a rally hosted by Sen. Bernie Sanders and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez on Friday, March 21. The park was filled long before the progressive leaders took the mic for their "Fighting Oligarchy" tour in the early evening. Earlier in the day, Sanders and AOC spoke in Greeley before more than 11,000 people.

Denver news3 min. readWorkers at the Colorado Coalition for the Homeless, a shelter that serves the unhoused community and more than 22,000 families and individuals a year in Denver, voted to unionize Wednesday. The vote comes after an almost year-long organizing campaign by staff. They cited low pay, high employee turnover, and inadequate resources required to serve the community as reasons for unionizing.
