Hotter shoes have set up shop in Taunton, occupying 16 East Street, previously ‘Jojo Maman Bebe’. The new store officially opened its doors to the public on Sunday, April 13.

(Image: Newsquest) AVON and Somerset Police arrested a person for drink driving in Frome after receiving reports of a motorist colliding with stationary vehicles and then fleeing the scene. On Saturday, April 12 two officers whilst on mobile patrols in Frome, were flagged down by a member of the public who reported a motorist had collided with a stationary vehicle and then fled the scene.

3 1/1 THE 2025 Ilminster 10k, previously known as The Minster Miler’s Mash, was described as a “stunning success” with 281 entries taking place in the event’s seventh consecutive year of running. The race, described as “the most rewarding race in the South West”, which started and finished at the Archie Gooch Pavilion, starts with the “dreaded Incline”, before passing around the south of Ilminster, returning through Dillington Court Estate and the centre of town.

On Wednesday, April 9, at 4.09am a crash occurred on the A361 Frome Bypass leading to a vehicle rolling onto its side into a ditch and causing a person to be trapped inside.
