    A hearing has been scheduled for abuse survivors to deliver victim impact statements against the Roman Catholic Diocese of Burlington, Vermont. It's the second of two hearings scheduled by a bankruptcy judge after the diocese filed for Chapter 11 back in October 2024. The latest court records were filed on Monday. According to the Diocese, 118 additional survivors have come forward with claims of abuse as of April 4.

"Harvey Mark St. Pierre our newest little love was born on 5/6/25," St. Pierre wrote. "We are all just over the moon to have brought home another healthy baby boy."St. Pierre gave birth to her first son, Ivan in 2023.     The New York State Department of Health has reported a record number of pediatric deaths from the 2024-2025 influenza season. According to Health Commissioner Dr. James McDonald, 25 influenza-related pediatric deaths were reported this season — the highest recorded amount ever in New York. Across the country, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has also reported 216 pediatric deaths this flu season, which McDonald said was the highest number in 15 years.

On Wednesday, 133 cardinals gathered for Mass before they sequestered themselves inside the Vatican to vote for the next pope. There's been speculation over who the next leader will be, but the cardinals have said their first priority will be to find someone who can unite the church.
