    These sourdough flour tortillas (using sourdough discard or active starter) couldn't be simpler to make. These soft sourdough tortillas are made with just 6 ingredients and come together in no time. They can be made using active bubbly starter or with sourdough discard. I normally make homemade flour tortillas, but recently, I switched over to sourdough tortillas because of the digestion benefits.

    Whiskey, lemon, honey and cinnamon, make up this homemade cough remedy perfect sleepless nights due to coughing.  Do y'all remember the old school Vick's Formula 44 Cough medicine? My mother bought that stuff religiously and then doctored it up with her own ingredients. I remember her pouring cough syrup into a pot (over low heat) and adding her own additional ingredients. She whisked in whiskey or brandy (whatever she had on hand), lemon juice and added the honey last.

    Freezing potatoes is a great way to preserve your harvest, and also simple way to have potatoes on hand for future meals and recipes. 🥔Potatoes are one of my favorite things to grow in our backyard homestead. They're inexpensive to grow and require little maintenance. Potatoes can also last for months when stored under the right conditions. Fresh, cured potatoes store best in cool, dark and humid areas. We live in Northeast Texas so it's not the most ideal climate for storing potatoes.
