I met these girls through a web of work and life. Each at different phases of a long-term documentary project I am directing that was born out of a casting trip to Columbus, Ohio, back in 2016. As a casting director it is my job to find beauty in the tiny corners of the world. I remember the first time I saw every girl in this story — Kourtnee, you and Kaylee pulled up to the parking lot. I walked up to say hello and you rolled the window down. Your beauty took my breath away.

Japanese designer Mikio Sakabe has decided to explore hidden entrances to fantasy within the everyday landscapes of Tokyo for his Fall/Winter 2023 collection’s campaign. Shot by photographer Moni Haworth, the editorial “aimed to capture a sense of the city’s inherent humidity and the accompanying feeling of emptiness, hoping to provide a hint that encourages one to step beyond the mundane through these images,” as explained by Sakabe himself.

What can we expect to see in SS24? SS24 is a continuation of the modern tailoring I have been refining since SS23. Modern American tailoring shapes, strong shoulders, wide lapels, and western detailing permeate the collection, with fabric novelty punctuating the more classic silhouettes.
