SACRAMENTO, Calif. — On the heels of elevated fire danger in the valley comes a warmup taking shape midweek. The weather pattern across the West bringing gusty winds will start to loosen its grip. A high pressure ridge will briefly build resulting in sinking, warming air. This will help boost temperatures close to 10° above average. The peak warmth hits midweek. Parts of the Sacramento Valley, San Joaquin Valley and Delta will be in a moderate heat risk zone Wednesday.
