The first ever clip, called 'Me at the zoo' was uploaded by a fella called Jawed Karim, one of the creators of the site, on April 23rd 2005. Over the next two decades, YouTube became a breeding ground for cultural phenomena, spawned a new brand of Internet celebrity - the vlogger - and launched countless musical careers.

A popular pie shop is trying to cater to their canine customers by launching gourmet 'cat flavoured dog pies' in their Mount Albert shop. Muzza's Pies came up with the idea after noticing how many punters would give their dogs a bite of their pies - but don't panic, no cats were harmed in the making. In fact, the pies are made with a "unique blend of rabbit and fish to mimic the tempting taste of a 'forbidden treat'," according to a press release.

If you're like me, the value, volume and variety of Costco has always had an appeal, but you've never actually made it out to Auckland's Westgate store, for a few reasons. One - it's intimidatingly big, and I get lost easily. Two - The amount of choice on offer is overwhelming, and I know I'd just end up getting a hot dog from the food court and leaving without any of the stuff I need or want. Three - I'm just not the type to sign up for a membership.
