WEST HARTFORD, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - West Hartford Police arrest a town resident in connection with a deadly pedestrian crash involving another vehicle last November. Police say Sue Deffenbaugh, 83, of West Hartford, allegedly ran over a pedestrian who had been previously hit by an initial vehicle in the area of Oakwood Avenue and Saint James Street on November 9, 2024. After running that victim over, police say Deffenbaugh drove off while the first vehicle remained at the scene.

SOUTHINGTON, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - Southington Police say a motorcycle rider is seriously injured after a car struck them Monday night. Police say Joshua Osher, 22, of Southington, was popping wheelies and driving erratically on a Yamaha MT07 motorcycle on Queen Street when a BMW hit him around 8:24 p.m. Monday night. Osher is receiving medical care at the Hospital of Central Connecticut at New Britain General. The driver of the BMW wasn't hurt.

AVON, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - Avon Police say a security camera on a Tesla parked at a restaurant on March 26 was able to record footage of a man who allegedly drew a swastika on it. Police say an investigation led investigators to the man, Steven Lowell Weinberger, 40, of Avon. Weinberger told officers he drew it with a marker on the driver's side door out of frustration with the current political climate and that he didn't know the owner of the vehicle.

HARTFORD, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - Hartford police say a car crash involving a pedestrian has left a wheelchair-bound woman dead. Officers say they responded to reports of the crash on the Broad Street overpass above I-84 around 11:14 p.m. on the report of a pedestrian struck by a car. The pedestrian, Beth Bosco, 67, of Hartford, who was wheelchair-bound, was found suffering severe injuries. Bosco was taken to Hartford hospital where she died from her injuries.

HARTFORD, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - Connecticut is planning a victory parade and rally in Hartford to honor UConn Women's Basketball team. The Huskies secured their 12th national title, after an 82-59 victory over the South Carolina Gamecocks in Tampa, Florida on Sunday. The parade will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday, stepping off from the State Capitol Building at the intersection of Trinity and Elm Streets. It will end in front of the of the main entrance to the XL Center on Trumbull Street.
