ATHENS, Georgia - It was supposed to be an electric 2025 SEC softball championship in Athens, Georgia today but mother nature had other plans. Due to inclement weather in Georgia, Saturday’s tournament championship game between Oklahoma and Texas A&M was canceled. “It hasn’t stopped raining since about noon today and it doesn’t look like we are going to get a window big enough for us to be able to play,” said Aggies’ head coach Trisha Ford.

ATHENS, Georgia — No. 1 Texas A&M (45-9, 16-7 SEC) advances to the SEC Tournament Championship for the first time after run-ruling No. 5 Texas (46-10, 16-8 SEC) 14-2 on Friday night. The Aggies wasted no time, seizing an early 6-0 lead in the first inning, thanks to KK Dement’s three-run homer. She hit her second home run in the following inning extended the lead to 10-0. Junior Amari Harper went 3-3 with a double, home run, and 6 RBI, while freshman Dement went 2-3 with 2 home runs and 5 RBI.

AUSTIN, Texas (KBTX) - After being postponed, the Class 2A/5A running events finally got underway in Austin at the UIL 202 State Track and Field meet. Normangee’s Drew Stewart took home gold in the 2A 100 meter hurdles in a personal best time of 14.50 seconds. She later earned silver in the 300 meter hurdles in another personal best time.

BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) - Over the weekend the College Station boy’s golf team and A&M Consolidated’s Raines Watson punched their tickets to the state during regionals at the Gulf Club at Margaritaville. Watson won the Region 3-5A tournament with a 74-68 (142). The Cougars finished third with an overall score of 638 and were led by a top 10 finish by Gage Elizondo with a score of 152 and a top 15 finish by Avery Hedrick with a score of 156.
Bryan High graduate wins AVCA Small College Beach Division III Championship

Bryan Graduate, Faith Clark, and the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor beach volleyball team won the American Volleyball Coaches Association Small College Beach Division III Championship Sunday in Tavares. Mary Hardin-Baylor defeated @BerryVikings to earn the Division III national title at the 2025 AVCA Small College Beach Championships.

BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) - The newly ranked No. 1 Texas A&M women’s tennis team swept the SEC weekly awards with Lucciana Perez and Lexington Reed getting recognized. Perez claimed her first SEC Player of the Week recognition while Reed garnered SEC Freshman of the Week for the third time. Perez delivered the winning point in the winner-take-all SEC title match against No. 1 Georgia with a 7-6(4), 4-6, 7-6(4) victory over No. 42 Aysegul Mert Sunday afternoon.
