Two semifinal appearances in six years as well as making the playoffs for the 12th time in 14 seasons, times were good. Perhaps it was the peak of Shepherd football pride as people revel in the memories of past greatness on the gridiron.

Dec. 7—Lottery players are being warned to watch out for scams by people posing as lottery agents or prize winners. Michigan Lottery spokesman Jake Harris said these kinds of cases are typically handled by local law enforcement, so that's who to contact if you suspect you've been targeted by scam artists.
