    Christopher Crockett capped his senior year the right way. Christopher Crockett capped his senior year as a state champion. Last Saturday the recently-graduated Shepherd High School senior became the first individual golf state champion in school history as Crockett finished atop the leaderboard at the Division 3 MHSAA State Finals from ‘The Meadows’ golf course on the campus of Grand Valley State University in Allendale.

About the only thing missing to this ‘season to be remembered’ is how it’s going to end, yet end it will this weekend from Michigan State University’s Secchia Stadium when the 2025 MHSAA Softball State Finals play out.
