In a Transaction Network Services (TNS) study published Thursday, researchers found that 72% of Americans do not answer phone calls from numbers they don’t recognize. TNS commissioned a Kantar survey of 1,033 U.S. adults. The results show "an erosion of trust in voice calling" as sophisticated and text scams, artificial intelligence (AI) deepfakes and robocalls proliferate. However, the gap in trust could present an opportunity.

RingCentral has named Brandon Thomas the replacement to former channel head Zane Long, now sitting atop the artificial intelligence (AI)-leaning unified-communications-as-a-service (UCaaS) vendor's channel partner program.
