The systematic review undertaken in this study adhered to the PRISMA guidelines [Citation19], and its protocol was registered with Prospero (CRD42023420089). Eight scientific databases, namely Medline, PsychInfo, ClinicalTrials.gov, CENTRAL, CINAHL, ICTRP, ETHOS, and EMBASE, were scrutinized (from January 2000 to July 2023) to compile a comprehensive body of evidence. Our systematic search strategy thoroughly examined all eight selected databases, employing comprehensive search terms.
