The VED led to a potential A$1 534 340 (95% UI $1 303 619–$1 755 349) health care cost saving from reductions in emergency visits and in-patient admissions and A$97 829 (95% UI $74 060–$123 172) cost saving in ambulance services. The ROI ratio was estimated at 4.74 (95% UI 4.03–5.65), meaning that for every A$1.00 invested, there would be a corresponding return of A$4.74 in healthcare cost savings.
