2.1. Source of materials NaF was obtained in polycrystalline form (Thermo Scientific ≥99% ACS reagent grade). The sample was thoroughly dried under vacuum at 333 K for 5−6 h before use. Halocarbon oil 11-14, which was used as a hydrostatic medium, was obtained from Halocarbon Product Corporation and used as supplied; the label on the stock is available in Fig. S1 of the supporting information. The properties of this medium have been described in more detail by Motaln et al. (2025).
