    When reality gets too heavy to bear, I sometimes like to shake off the dust of this mundane world and run headlong into the realm of fantasy. Sadly, fantasy worlds aren’t as easy to get to as isekai anime would have me believe. When an anime protagonist gets hit by a truck, they wake up in a land of magic and wonder. Whenever I try it, I wake up in the hospital. Doctor’s orders demand that I get my fantasy fixes through books instead.

    It's been over two years since the Justice League ended, just after the Dark Crisis. At that time, the founders of the Justice League left things to the Titans for a while. However, the events of Absolute Power have caused the entire hero community to realize the Justice League is still needed. Mark Waid and Dan Mora are teaming up to release Justice League Unlimited this November. This time, every DC Universe hero can become a member and make an appearance.

    There’s power in threes. The rule of three, we call it in the writing world: repeat a word or phrase or plot element three times in order to give it meaning. Two repetitions isn’t enough to establish pattern recognition; four repetitions and the mind gets bored. Three is the sweet spot. It took me three tries to get what Octavia Butler was trying to do with Parable of the Sower and Parable of the Talents. I think. I’m still not sure.
