The BLAST.tv Austin Major started on June 3 in Austin, and sold-out playoffs kicked off Thursday and will run through Sunday. The group planned to hold a rally Thursday to support the communities of Burnet, Dobie and Webb Middle Schools, which each are set to receive their third consecutive failing accountability score. In April, Austin ISD warned district families that the Texas Education Agency could intervene if these scores are not improved.

Scooters discontinued? San Marcos says it could happen

SAN MARCOS, Texas (KXAN) -A scooter company that services San Marcos could be gone soon. According to a press release from the the city of San Marcos, Spin, which is an e-scooter company, notified the city that they intend to cease operations. The city, in partnership with Texas State University, signed the original contract with Spin in September 2021. Spin's current contract is expected to end on June 30, according to the press release from San Marcos.
