MIAMI GARDENS, Fla (WFOR) — Miami Gardens police have confirmed two men are dead after a Miami-Dade transit bus driver opened fire after an argument just before 3 a.m., Sunday morning. Miami Gardens units responded to a call regarding a disturbance on a transit bus early Sunday morning and have since closed off most of a shopping center on NW 183rd Street and NW 7th Avenue. The initial police report reveals that the bus driver became involved in an altercation with two passengers.

Man wanted for sex abuse of a child on the run in Florida The Martin County Sheriff's Office is putting all of Florida on high alert for Jesus Tamanis Peralta, 37, who has been on the run since December. Police say the man has been moving from city to city, trying to stay ahead of police after being accused of sexually battering a young girl. Police say Peralta started abusing the girl when she was around 8 years old. She is a teenager now.

MIAMI – American Airlines is no longer resuming its daily service out of Miami into Port-au-Prince's Toussaint Louverture International Airport. American had initially suspended flights through February 12. The suspension is now indefinite. A spokesperson for the U.S.-based carrier said that it will evaluate a possible resumption in late 2025 of the only daily service out of Miami International Airport into Haiti by a major U.S. airline.

WEST PALM BEACH — Two St. Lucie County Sheriff's deputies and a Fort Pierce Police officer were injured Saturday night in a multi-vehicle crash, the county sheriff said. According to CBS News affiliate WPEC in West Palm Beach, 45-year-old Perry Peables — the driver arrested after the crash — was booked on six counts of DUI with injury and property damage, along with DUI refusals, according to St. Lucie County Sheriff Keith Pearson.
