Many in Florence have been without water since Thursday morning, June 5, and a boil water notice is in place for the city. With outages anticipated to persist through the evening and into the morning, the Florence Police Department plans to distribute drinking water to residents beginning 9 a.m. on Friday at Florence City Hall. “We anticipate drinking water arrival tomorrow morning at 9 a.m. to City Hall,” a statement from the department reads.

Body Drivers passing through Florence last Thursday may have noticed an increased law enforcement presence patrolling the streets. Tahoes from the Florence Police Department, Williamson County Constable Precinct 3, Williamson County Sheriff’s Office, and Texas Department of Public Safety patrolled the city and surrounding county roads with one goal in mind: enforcing traffic safety ahead of summer break.
