Starting life together in their mother’s womb, Evan and Evelyn Robinson have remained close in many ways throughout their lives. They were born in Pocatello in 1946 at St. Anthony Hospital, and they have spent their lives in various pursuits, as well as traveling to places near and far -- always returning home to Pocatello. Their birth was exciting in and of itself. Until the day of the planned Caesarian section, their doctors assured their parents, via ultrasound, to expect a baby girl.

Years ago, when our five lively boys were all still at home--whenever Mother’s Day rolled around the guys would present Mom with the typical, and always appreciated, special cards and little gifts. And they still do!For years, we have kept many of the cards, along with an especially humorous one given to Mom by our oldest son, Glenn.

Floyd and Peggy Anderson have been part of the Pocatello scene all their lives. Now, in their eighties, they often look back on all the years and all the changes they have both seen and experienced. They recall the many events and activities of which they have been a significant part. Both born in the Gate City, they became acquainted in a Methodist Sunday School class of eight-year-olds taught by Peggy’s devout grandmother.

Some sixty years ago, Nancy’s father, while traveling away on business, was killed in a single car auto accident. In going through his personal effects when his body was returned home, we found in his wallet a wrinkled 3 x 3.5 card with a classic picture of Christ on one side and the following piece on the other written by James A. Francis, D.D. and published in The Irish Echo, December 27, 1969.

Today, Visa and Mastercard were accused by Block of conspiring to inflate fees and increase retail prices paid by consumers.
