Six Flags Entertainment Corp., the parent company of Knott’s Berry Farm, is laying off 140 employees at three of its theme parks in California, including 65 at Knott’s in Buena Park, according to a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) letter sent to state employment officials on May 22. Knott’s positions being eliminated, effective July 21, include team leads, an executive chef, sales associates, supervisors and a regional manager.

Palmer Luckey’s ambitious dream of helping America become the world’s biggest gun store via his company, Anduril Industries, is coming to fruition. And he’s got the money to prove it. The 32-year-old billionaire told “60 Minutes” in a show that aired May 18 that his Costa Mesa-based autonomous weapons startup will surpass $6 billion in worldwide government contracts by the end of 2025. He revealed that the company’s fighter jet called Fury is scheduled for testing this summer.

Vans owner V.F. Corporation blamed the Costa Mesa-based retailer for dragging down fourth quarter revenue, which fell 5% to $2.1 billion, the Denver company said Wednesday. Sales at Vans were down 22% for the quarter.
