Ferretti International has entered administration and over 100 jobs across sites at Whyalla and Wingfield have been lost. There are hopes the sale of the steelworks will lead to future opportunities.

SA environmental authorities have detected traces of a waterborne toxin caused by several algae species. At least six oyster farms at Stansbury on the Yorke Peninsula have stopped harvesting their product pending further public health advice. Oyster farmer Steve Bowley says he could lose "half a million dollars' worth of stock" if required to destroy the oysters.

His next adventure is as a Para-Sport transition coach at the new $88m Para-Sport unit for disabled athletes in South Australia. The Naracoorte Caves is unveiling a new fossil model of what was once the nation's most feared carnivorous marsupial lion that roamed South Australia. The new cast was built by Flinders Uni Palaeontology Lab technical officer, Carey Burke as a way to mark 30 years since the fossil caves were recognised as having World Heritage status. Burke said to Narelle Graham, "There's nothing like it anywhere in the world".

Former Midday television host, Ray Martin described Maggie Tabberer as "A woman's woman". Tabberer, a fashion, publishing, and television personality died at age 87 on Friday.
