SAN ANTONIO - A 43-year-old man was severely injured and a dog owner is facing charges after a pit bull attack on the Northwest Side. The attack happened Tuesday at the 8400 block of Shooter Cove. According to the Bexar County Sheriff's Office (BCSO), deputies responded to a dog bite involving a 43-year-old male victim who was severely injured after being attacked by a pit bull.

SAN ANTONIO - Bexar County deputies are seeking suspects on the run after a man was shot multiple times in East Bexar County. The shooting happened around 8:49 p.m. Tuesday near 6823 Oldham Drive. According to the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a disturbance for multiple shots heard. Witnesses said they heard multiple gunshots in the area and saw male suspects fleeing the scene on foot. Deputies searched the area and located one male victim with multiple gunshot wounds.

SAN ANTONIO - A deadly fire claimed the life of an 11-year-old boy and injured two firefighters in far South Bexar County. The fire started around 6:30 p.m. Monday at a mobile home on Spanish Grant Road, outside of Loop 1604. According to San Antonio fire officials, the fire is believed to have started in the restroom, where the 11-year-old victim was found. The cause of the fire is still under investigation and the victim’s identity has not been released as of yet.

SAN ANTONIO - A man was tragically killed in a substantial house fire on the West Side of town. The fire started just before 3 p.m. Tuesday at a home near the 1000 block of Montezuma. According to fire officials, when crews arrived, they saw heavy fire coming from the center of the home and were told by responding San Antonio police officers that they could hear one person inside the home. Crews swiftly entered the home through a side window and found heavy fire when they got inside.

SAN ANTONIO - The former San Antonio Police Officer who was fired for allegedly giving a homeless person a sandwich containing dog feces, has been hired by another police department. The Benavides Police Department says the hiring of Matthew Luckhurst highlights the department’s commitment to giving individuals a second chance. Despite past allegations, Officer Luckhurst’s record since joining the department in April 2023 has been exemplary, with no complaints or issues reported.
