SAN ANTONIO - The Trump Administration is making moves to end protections for Afghan refugees in San Antonio and around the country. According to Texas Public Radio, the notice of the Trump administration formally ending protected status for Afghans living in this country without permanent residency was filed on Monday. This could result in the mass deportation of more than 11,000 Afghans who fled their home after the United States withdrew. Many of them live here in San Antonio.
