Growing up, marriage was never a thing that felt like it was for me. I wanted kids, but worried about what people — and my parents — would think if I was a single mom. I'm now in my late 60s and my companion is my fluffy dog Poppy. I've had a great life as a travel writer exploring the world. I've been to more places than most people have ever dreamed of visiting. Following a six-million-pound refurbishment programme and with new owners, the Albion in Freshwater Bay, on the lovely Isle of Wight, provides a much-needed stylish, dog-friendly seaside hotel to the South coast of the Isle of Wight. Promoted as the place where decadence meets debauchery, Natasha Blair visits House of Gods to find out what it’s really like. A fun place to visit with a loved one or someone you want to get to know, the House of Gods is decorated for a seductive dalliance and is definitely a hotel for couples. From the outside, the building is a nondescript brown stone but stepping through the front door, the lighting is subdued and sultry. A cocktail bar/lounge is on either side of the reception desk.
