A driver died in a crash early on Friday morning near Fitzroy Crossing. WA Police say they believe the incident occurred in St George Ranges sometime before 4am, with emergency services alerted around 7.10am. Initial investigations indicated that the sedan veered off Cherrabun Road and struck a tree, before catching fire. The driver, the sole occupant of the vehicle, died at the scene.
