COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ) Mizzou softball closed out the midweek schedule with one last win, on Tuesday, as the Tigers run-ruled SIUE 10-2 in six innings to improve to 22-24 in 2025. Head coach Larissa Anderson rode the arm of starter Pannell, all the way through, to victory. The junior pitched a complete game and recorded a career-best eight strikeouts. She only allowed two earned runs on four hits. In addition to the standout day from Pannell, it helped that the MU bats were firing on all cylinders.

Another Mizzou defensive end throws name into transfer portal With one more day until the spring transfer portal window officially opens up for football, Mizzou now ha six players who have decided to throw their name in, three of which are defensive ends. On Tuesday, Tiger edge rusher Eddie Kelly Jr. is set to enter his name into the transfer portal, after one season in Columbia. His agent, Miles Jordan, reposted the news on social media.

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ) Mizzou women's basketball coach Kellie Harper made her third addition from the transfer portal, on Tuesday, as former Illinois State guard Shannon Dowell committed to the Tigers. The O'Fallon, Illinois native will come to Columbia following two seasons with the Redbirds, where she earned All-Conference honors in both seasons. During the 2024-25 campaign, Dowell averaged 17.6 points, 5.2 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game, which earned her All-MVC Second Team honors.

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ) Mizzou men's basketball is getting in on a trend that's growing more and more in popularity across college sports: hiring a general manager. The University posted a job listing, seeking a general manager for the men's basketball team. The posting said that Mizzou is looking for someone with previous experience working in Division I men's basketball. The hire will report directly to head coach Dennis Gates.

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ) Mizzou men's basketball coach Dennis Gates now has two positions to fill on his coaching staff this offseason. On Tuesday morning, Tiger hoops announced that associate head coach Charlton 'C.Y' Young will be taking the same job at the University of Miami, after three seasons in Columbia. C.Y. came to Mizzou when Coach Gates first got hired, however, now he will return to the state where a lot of his coaching career has been spent.

#Mizzou corner Ja’Marion Wayne reportedly set to enter the transfer portal. The STL native came to Columbia as a wide receiver but switched over to CB. He finished 2024 with five total tackles, one fumble recovery and one pass defended, getting into 10 games.
