Nine has formalised the leadership team and structure for its recently created streaming and broadcasting division, bringing broadcast TV, Stan, and Nine Radio together under Amanda Laing. The changes have cleaned up loose ends from Stan’s days as a separate entity and also removed the word ‘TV’ entirely. In January, Nine reset its operating model, splitting into three consumer-focused divisions: streaming and broadcast; publishing; and marketplaces – which includes Drive and Domain.

The UK’s three biggest commercial television networks have joined forces on a premium video advertising marketplace that will allow businesses to book a single campaign across Sky, Channel 4 and ITV. The new self-service TV ad buying marketplace is aimed at small to medium businesses that haven’t previously advertised on television.

This weekend, AFL fans in Victoria and West Australia will be able to watch the Western Bulldogs and Richmond clash with in-depth commentary from three of the country’s most interesting new broadcasting talent. The youngest is 11 years old , while the veteran of the group just turned 16. It’s the inaugural 7AFL Kids Call, an idea that Kirsty Bradmore, Seven’s head of digital sport, says has been in the works for the past 18 months.

The first two matches of the 2025 NRL State of Origin have drawn the largest free-to-air TV crowds for the annual match-up seen in a decade. According to the Oztam VOZ ratings, Wednesday night’s State of Origin Game 2 — in which the Queensland Maroons tied the series at one game apiece — was the highest-rating Game 2 since 2015, while the first game in the series was the most-watched opening match since 2016.
