1. IntroductionRadiation therapy is a widely accepted treatment for localised and advanced prostate cancer, with the use of radiation for localised prostate cancer first reported in 1909 [1]. In contrast to this, established historical principles regarding the radioresistance of renal cell carcinoma (RCC) have been recently overturned by new advances in radiation planning and delivery, extending its application to localised and metastatic RCC in this rapidly evolving field of study.
