SUDBURY, MA — Sudbury for the first time this year will join communities across the state in raising awareness about opioid overdoses around International Opioid Awareness Day. The Sudbury event in early September will include addiction resources from groups like Massachusetts Organization for Addiction Recovery (MOAR), Learn to Cope and Advocates. State Rep. Carmine Gentile will also be on hand to talk about action at the state level around substance use prevention.

WORCESTER, MA — A neighborhood on Worcester's north side will get extra mosquito treatments after a positive West Nile sample was confirmed by state health officials on Wednesday. Mosquito spraying via truck will take place on Thursday evening in neighborhoods north of Assumption University and east of Salisbury Street, city officials said. The new sample breaks with previous positive West Nile samples, which were found in the Institute Park area.

I've found them to be the best way to explore hidden parts of the state, allowing you to get fresh air and exercise while avoiding the hassle of driving and parking. My love of these trails has gotten to the point where I often fantasize about being a billionaire, allowing me to build new rail trails wherever I want.

SHREWSBURY, MA — A Shrewsbury High School parent is raising alarms about an investigation into bullying and hazing on the girls' varsity soccer team, saying the district has failed to follow its own policies and procedures to protect students from harassment. According to the parent, her daughter and others on the team were bullied and hazed by the team's two captains and the team's head coach during the fall 2023 season.
