MILWAUKEE – Rainy weather didn’t stop Milwaukee leaders from raising the Juneteenth flag above the Zeidler Municipal Building Wednesday morning. Milwaukee has one of the oldest and longest running Juneteenth celebrations in the nation, and to commemorate tomorrow’s holiday, city officals raised the flag.

MILWAUKEE – Four people are in the hospital after a quadruple shooting on Milwaukee’s southwest side. Shots were fired around 8:45 p.m. Tuesday in the 1000 block of W. Mineral Street, according to police. All four vicitms suffered non-fatal gunshot wounds. The victims included two 26-year-olds, a 27-year-old and a 34-year-old. Milwaukee police said the investigation is ongoing.

20th annual Milwaukee County Zoo blood drive underway

MILWAUKEE – The American Red Cross and Milwaukee County Zoo have once again teamed up for its annual blood drive. The blood drive runs Tuesday, June 10 through Thursday, June 12 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the zoo’s Peck Center. “We typically sees a dip in donations during the summertime,” Red Cross Regional Communications Director Jen Warren told WTMJ. “People have their regular schedule thrown off during the summer. They get busy and leave town for vacation.
