WTMJ-AM (Milwaukee, WI)
WTMJ is an AM radio station situated in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, operating at a frequency of 620 kHz and also available on 94.5 FM HD-2. This station was once the main radio outlet for the Journal Broadcast Group until it was acquired by the E.W. Scripps Company in April 2015. The Journal Broadcast Group previously owned several media properties, including the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, WTMJ-TV, and sister station WKTI, along with other outlets across the country. Currently, WTMJ continues to be owned alongside WTMJ-TV and WKTI, while the Journal Sentinel is now part of a separate entity called Journal Media Group. WTMJ's studio is located in a distinctive Art Deco building known as "Radio City," located on Capitol Drive in Milwaukee, with its transmitter situated in Union Grove.
