Great Britain are on track for just a second 4-man bobsleigh World Championship medal since the Second World War after the first of two days of racing in Lake Placid. Brad Hall, Arran Gulliver, Taylor Lawrence and Greg Cackett are in third place ahead of Saturday’s final two runs as they look to repeat their medal winning feat from two seasons ago when they took silver to become the first 4-man team to make the podium in 84 years.

Brad Hall and Taylor Lawrence finished sixth in the 2-man bobsleigh at the World Championships in Lake Placid on Sunday. The British pair climbed up from seventh after the first two runs on Saturday but were left with too much to do to challenge for the country’s first World Championship 2-man medal in 59 years. Hall and Lawrence were sixth fastest in each of their final two runs run as they clocked a four-run time of 3 minutes 41.97 seconds.
