Fourteen clinicians participated across the three focus groups and 15 clinicians and managers in interviews. Sample characteristics are presented in Table 2. Barriers were identified across 13 of the 14 TDF domains, summarised in Table 3. Clinicians held differing perspectives regarding their role in providing preventive care. Some, particularly in the acute care team, believing it to be more the responsibility of other health professionals e.g., GPs (professional role and identity).

Highlights •Current, recommendations for the management of Type 1 Diabetes (T1D) includes the use of intensive insulin therapy. •During school hours the management of a child's T1D can be largely reliant upon school staff. •Global variations in diabetes support to schools are reported from health professionals, school staff and parents. •Further research is needed to explore the differences between different geographical and rural areas.

Quality use of medicines, or rational medicines use, requires patients’ adherence to the quality principles of medication use. There is a limited number of reviews about quality medication use among migrant patients. This review aims to fill this gap by exploring medication-related issues experienced by Arabic-speaking patients living in English-speaking countries. The initial search retrieved 2071 publications and 23 publications met the inclusion criteria.
