HENDERSON COUNTY, N.C. (WLOS) — The Henderson County Technical Review committee on Tuesday approved an application to allow plans to go forward for a new firing range in Edneyville. A local father, who wished to remain anonymous, said he worries that the firing range will disrupt the serene environment that he and his wife have invested years into building. “This is a single lane, privately owned, privately maintained road to access that property," he said.

(WLOS) — The Register of Deeds Office in Henderson County is warning the public about a recent phone scam in which individuals posing as officials from the office are demanding payment for their deeds. The scammer tells residents in the area that in order for them to receive their deed, they need to pay $173. The Henderson County Register of Deeds Office said Wednesday that it does not call residents to demand payment.
