SWANNANOA, N.C. (WLOS) — A new tradition is in bloom seven months after Hurricane Helene in one Western North Carolina town. Grovemont Park in Swannanoa is filled with color as tulips and daffodils planted months ago are now in full bloom. The initiative, led by local resident Marco Rozenbroek, has brought joy to the community. He hopes to make it an annual event. "We just saw children walking here, elderly people, everybody was walking and enjoying the flowering," Rozenbroek said.
