He also feels more games should be televised, which certainly rings true this weekend with Limerick’s Munster championship opener against Tipperary not being broadcast at all.

Kilcoo have appointed former Monaghan star Martin Corey as their new manager, along with Tyrone's two-time All-Ireland winner Joe McMahon, and former Derry boss Paddy Crozier. Corey and McMahon had started the season as part of Robbie Brennan's backroom team with Meath, and they enjoyed a decent league campaign in Division Two. Considine moved to the Adelaide Crows AFLW side in 2019 as their first international player, going onto enjoy a remarkably successful career where she became the first Irish player to win a Grand Title, before adding a second in 2022.

Had a good chat with Glenn Ryan for @ballsdotie today about Micko, teaming up with him as captain-manager. His famous speech in 1998, the training in the Curragh and getting advice off him in recent years as Kildare manager. "Micko you're a God." https://t.co/igPtRVW7X9

A huge couple of months on the horizon for the Kildare hurlers, beginning with the Division Two final against Down on Saturday. Had a good chat with their manager Brian Dowling who hopes their progress continues. https://t.co/0SWFhGBo3X
