Changes Revealed in documentary by Pat LarkinBy Niamh ByrneA new short film by Pat Larkin tells the story of the refurbishment of St Matthew’s Church, Irishtown. The film starts with an invitation to enter this wonderful old church by the current Rector of St Matthews, the Reverend Leonard Ruddock. The film then proceeds to give us a tour of the newly restored church and introduces some of the people who made it happen.

By Niamh ByrneIn November the RDS was host to Art Source, billed as an incredible selection of affordable art, as well as exciting pieces from the biggest names in the art world. One piece that stood out particularly for me was a painting of our very own river Liffey, with Liberty Hall displaying a ‘Ceasefire now’ banner. Very impactful and struck the right note in these sad times.

The new partnership between Trees for Life and the Cairngorms National Park Authority, working with Cairngorms Aspen Group, aims to map, expand and connect aspen – an essential but now rare feature of the Caledonian forest.

The UK-based Music Managers Forum (MMF) has appointed Eleven Management co-founder Niamh Byrne and Echo Beach Management founder and MD Jill Hollywood as its new Chair and Vice Chair, respectively. They succeed Paul Craig and Kwame Kwaten who stood down last month having completed two three-year terms. Following last week’s AGM, Paul Craig and Kwame Kwaten will join the MMF Custodians Council, along with Adam Tudhope (Everybody’s) and Rob Swerdlow (Starwood Management).

By Niamh ByrneOn August 29th last Dragons at the Docks happened once again at Dublin’s Capital Dock, Grand Canal. As before there was no shortage of celebration with people coming from all over Dublin to support the rowers. Eight different docking points were set up for the boats, with eight different teams constantly vying for their chance on the river. The event is supported by 53 different companies over Dublin, including Cairn Homes, Dalata Hotel Group, and Glenveagh.
