When Tyler Guyton was selected in the first round of the 2024 NFL draft by the Dallas Cowboys, it was with the idea that he would be the left tackle of the future for the franchise. For a team that had gotten used to elite play at that position from Tyron Smith over the course of 13 seasons, the standard was high for a player who entered the NFL with just 14 career starts at the college level. In year one, that standard was far from being reached.

The Dallas Cowboys welcomed in the media for the second of three availabilities during the offseason team activities (OTAs) on Thursday, as they hit the grass for what was their fifth total practice as a team in 2025. The practice featured roughly 40 minutes of individual and position drills before both sides of the ball lined up and competed in an 11-on-11 and 7-on-7 format.
