On Monday, 7News broke the story that Miyares says LCPS is weaponizing Title IX, and the evidence did not support the claim of sexual harassment. “At this point, we don't feel like the county is really, it's not looking out for the protection of our children," a parent named Seth told 7News. Seth was the first dad to speak out about his son and two other boys being investigated for sexual harassment by Loudoun County Public Schools under Title IX.

For some parents and students, that shows little has changed. After that headline-grabbing attack in the girls' bathroom in 2021, and a scathing special grand jury report the following year, the Loudoun County School Board promised positive change in its Title IX office.
