During the pandemic, I’d often take my daily walk around Île Saint-Louis. Or rather, flâner, the very Parisian act but hard to define French verb which basically means to stroll around with no purpose, observing society. There wasn’t a lot of society, but I had Paris to observe instead. And from the Île Saint-Louis, the prettiest part of the city, the part that people usually think of when they think of Paris. From this little island I got the Seine, the Haussmann buildings, the Louvre, Notre-Dame.
