Tickets for all four possible home games in Round 1 of the 2025 Stanley Cup Playoffs between the Oilers and the Los Angeles Kings are now on sale. As of Monday afternoon, tickets ranged from $216 to $900 a seat, taxes and fees included. Oilers Entertainment Group (OEG) also said Monday that road game watch parties will return to Rogers Place, based on arena availability. Those tickets will cost $10 and will go on sale once the Round 1 schedule has been announced.

A 66 year-old woman died after a fire at a seniors housing complex in Josephburg – a hamlet near Fort Saskatchewan – earlier this month according to Alberta RCMP. It said the fire happened at Homestead Place around 4 p.m. on Tuesday, April 1 and the flames were contained to one unit. The Heartland Housing Foundation describes the residence as an 8-unit apartment complex that services the needs of rural seniors from Strathcona County and the Fort Saskatchewan area.

The province has launched a new campaign to encourage Albertans to eat, drink and buy local. It includes a new website that provides information on where to find local food and a push for people to look out for the “Made in Alberta” label. “Every decision to buy local and every purchase you make helps keep Alberta strong, it helps protect jobs in the province and it helps protect our economy,” said agriculture minister RJ Sigurdson at a news conference Monday.

A program that helps youth develop healthy relationships with others has expanded to include boys at Morinville’s Four Winds School. The course was developed three years ago in partnership with the Jessica Martel Memorial Foundation, an organization that runs two shelters and provides other services to domestic abuse survivors.

The owner of a Glenora condo unit says she is beyond frustrated after dealing with re-emerging cockroach issues for years, with local experts saying this specific species is considered rare to the Edmonton area. Lisa Gagnon told CTV News Edmonton she recalls having issues with roaches in her unit at Crescent Place for years, with the first sighting as far back as 2012.
