1 Introduction Endosomes and lysosomes are critically involved in the regulation of intracellular trafficking, endocytosis, exocytosis, autophagy, cargo logistics, and degradation processes (Xu, Martinoia, and Szabo 2015; Xu and Ren 2015; Grimm et al. 2017; Grimm et al. 2017; Grimm et al. 2018; Rosato, Tang, and Grimm 2021; Prat Castro et al. 2022; Wahl-Schott and Biel 2023).
