Delta State has won the Seventh Edition of the National Youth Games, tagged “Asaba 2023”, as Team Edo finishes in the third position. This year’s competition hosted by Delta kicked off on September 20 and ended September 30 in Asaba. The final medals table released by the Main Organising Committee (MOC) of the 10-day long event, saw Team Delta emerge champions of the competition after raking in a total of 51 gold, 34 silver, and 31 bronze medals.

Nigeria hits 63. We give thanks for this feat. Nigeria is a great nation, blessed to the core with all sorts of resources. The sad fact remains that we are yet to attain our full potential as the Giant of Africa. Since 1960, Nigeria has experienced a whole lot of political theories as a result of our independence from the British. Some may call these developments, experiments, with most of them, failing or inadequate. In another aspect of a win for us, we are free and sovereign now.
