A South Florida family wants justice after a 25-year-old father was shot and killed in Pompano Beach last week. Family members said Jacarey Love was funny and liked to make you laugh, but he was also a family man who loved his nieces and nephews and his three children. "He just loved to be around his children, loved to be with kids," Chilee Cotton said. "He just lit up a room when he walked in."Detectives said someone shot Love last Thursday in a Pompano Beach neighborhood.

A man and a woman were handcuffed after an hours-long SWAT situation on Wednesday as Miami Police helped police from New York serve a search warrant in connection with a homicide. The situation unfolded at the Miami Riverfront Residences in the 1600 block of NW 16th St Rd near Allapattah. A man who refused to leave a girls' dance rehearsal at a Miami theater attacked the manager who tried to make him leave, police said. Manuel Arturo Baldizon-Sarria, 26, was arrested Monday on charges of burglary with assault or battery and resisting an officer without violence after the incident at the Manuel Artime Theater, an arrest report said.

An Olympic track medalist is charged in Florida with punching a woman, a hurdler who also competed in the Olympics. A Broward County Sheriff's Office arrest report says that Fred Kerley, 29, allegedly hit Alaysha Johnson with a closed fist at a hotel in the 1800 block of Griffin Road in Dania Beach on Thursday. Kerley is charged with misdemeanor battery in the incident that left Johnson with a bloody nose.

A boat capsized in North Miami Beach Saturday, throwing several people into the water. One of the passengers is in the hospital. Cell phone and surveillance video shows a boat crash into another boat, launch into the air and flip over, sending several people in the water. It happened in North Miami Beach's Eastern Shores community, near Northeast 35 th avenue and 181 st street. Bram Fiebelkorn was feet away. "I see a boat that just started zig zagging real fast," Fiebelkorn said.
