A man in his 20s died after he was shot during an attempted home invasion in Chatsworth, south of Durban, on Wednesday. ALS Paramedics spokesperson Garrith Jamieson said his team responded to a shooting on Turfwood Place in Havenside shortly after 5am. "Initial reports were many people had been shot in a attempted home invasion. Paramedics arrived to find one person, a male believed to be in his 20s, had been rushed to hospital with gunshot wounds. He passed away before arriving at hospital.

Three men were arrested on Monday for allegedly stealing weaves off women’s heads in the Durban city centre. The men are believed to be part of a criminal syndicate operating at taxi ranks in the CBD. Ensure Security spokesperson Kyle van Reenen said the men were apprehended in two separate incidents. “A man was chased and apprehended after robbing a female commuter of her weave and attempting to flee.” he said.

IPSS Medical Rescue spokesperson Samantha Meyrick said IPSS responded to the Rocky Bay Ski Boat Club after the boat carrying five people capsized in the morning.
