There has been a rise in the proportion of women seeking abortions despite using “natural” methods to prevent pregnancy, such as fertility tracking apps, a study in England and Wales suggests. The data, published in BMJ Sexual and Reproductive Health, shows a shift in contraception use over the last five years, from “more reliable” hormonal contraceptives, such as the pill, to fertility awareness-based methods, say the researchers.

It has been almost a month since four young men were abducted in Mlolongo, leaving their families in a state of uncertainty. Despite searching various police stations and morgues, their efforts have yielded no results, and the men have since been dubbed the “Mlolongo Four.”The four—Kulani Muema, Martin Nziuku, Justus Mutumwa, and Steve Mbisi—were abducted in December 2024.

In the recent past, a section of the church and the presidency have been at loggerheads, particularly on the issue of donations that were publicly declared on the church altar, where the church leaders have been vocal on this issue of rejecting the donations.
