The development was proposed twice and went through four rounds of back and forth with town staff before being approved by the Planning Commission on March 26. Perkins initially stepped into the position when Steve Leonardis stepped down as city manager. The 5.4-mile trail will take hikers through Tony Look to Coyote Ridge to Lookout Loop. The terrain is moderately challenging, and the hike should take three hours to complete.
