Environment Canada has ended its weekend-long winter storm warning for much of southern Ontario as the system moves eastward. The warning started Saturday and continued Sunday for a wide swath of Eastern Canada, including virtually all of southern Ontario. But as of Sunday night after 6 p.m. the system had moved eastwards, leaving only the traditional snow belts in southern Ontario still dealing with snow, although warnings still remain for eastern Ontario.

Environment Canada’s wide ranging winter storm warning is continuing Sunday for a wide swath of Eastern Canada and includes virtually all of southern Ontario. As of just before 10 a.m., Sunday, Feb. 16, only the tip of southwestern Ontario around Windsor and Chatham has been removed from the warning.
